Oikos Accra in collaboration with the University of Ghana is organising the Legon international students Festival.
LISF Will provide a platform for open minded and constructive dialog. Starting from the 6th-11th January 2003, LISF will bring together University, college and polythecnic students from all over the world to discuss and find Possible solution to the problems facing our world.
The program includes lectures, workshops, conferences and visits to places of interest.
The theme for this year's event is "Students in World Affairs". The event is broken down into six Exciting workshops and discussion will be led by experienced speakers. Each workshop will be initiated by a lecture.
Workshops for this year will center on the following topics:
*Education in the 21st century
*Sustainable development
*HIV/AIDS, Loosing the fight?
*AFRICA, our past, present and future
*Peace Building and conflict resolution
*Terrorism and globalisation
In collaboration with the Ghanaian Ministry of Tourism, the program will also introduce participants to the Ghanaian culture.
