With consumers (not to mention insurers and employers) clamoring for lower Rx drug prices, the outlook for the generic drug industry is bright. Yet even while demand for generics is intensifying, generic drug manufacturers face frustrating attempts to block generics from entering the marketplace. Legislative reform is hoped for, but fixing a broken system promises not to be easy.
