The 2002 Subsurface Science Symposium, organized by the Inland Northwest Research Alliance (INRA) and the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL), will be held 13-16 October 2002 at the Doubletree Riverside Hotel in Boise, ID.
The Symposium’s Keynote Speaker is Dr. Stephen Wells, Director of the Desert Research Institute.
Over 70 invited speakers and 36 poster authors will present their research in the following concurrent technical sessions: Geophysics, Hydrology, Modeling, Scaling, Bioremediation, Geochemistry, Mass Transport, and Remediation Science and Technology. Panel discussions will be held in several areas of Technology Transfer, including the role of universities in technology transfer and economic development. Other sessions include Environmental Policy and Management and an overview of INRA’s Subsurface Science Research Institute and graduate program.
