| Description |
Prospective Payment Systems (PPS) has presented significant challenges to rehabilitation facilities since its inception during the Balanced Budget Act of 1997. Facilities prepared themselves for the final rule, which was finally published in late 2000.
Now, as 2003 approaches, we are faced with new challenges. Facilities must constantly find new ways to organize and streamline their processes. New technology and software has helped to ease this burden, but its seamless integration must be addressed. The biggest challenge still facing rehab hospitals today is coding. This conference will include a half day workshop on coding and medical documentation.
