Description

The 19th Mobile Sources/Clean Air Conference will be held September 9-12, 2003, at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort and Conference Center in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

This annual conference is dedicated to the exploration and discussion of issues related to emissions from mobile sources. Issues such as Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) programs, technologies such as On-Board Diagnostics (OBD), global warming, health effects of emissions, fuel reformulations and public education are but a few of the issues that are discussed in these open and free wheeling sessions.

Attendees include many from government (federal, state, local, and international), automotive and equipment manufacturers, emission program contractors, health professionals, environmental organizations, transportation planners, automotive service and repair industry, educators from the automotive rank and the K-12 sector and others. The conference provides a unique setting conducive to interacting with others concerned about the protection of our environment and the air we breath.

This conference is hosted by the National Center for Vehicle Emissions Control and Safety (NCVECS) at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. The Center, which is a nationally and internationally recognized research and training center, was established in 1976 with the help of a grant from USEPA. NCVECS was established to assist states across the nation as they established their vehicle emissions control programs.
