The Conference grew out of the awareness that many of our institutions -- from major corporations to our Nation itself -- were undergoing revision and re-examination. Restoring confidence and respect for American Business after Enron, WorldCom and ethical questions about Wall Street presents re-branding as a major communications challenge. Concern about the image of Religion, the perception of education by the underprivileged and the perception of America in the Middle East as well as Europe also suggest the importance of discussion and a search for commonality of branding and identity problems and of solutions. And, of course, the classical role of advertising and marketing communications in maintaining and acquiring consumer interest and participation in established brands appears to be more challenging than ever.
It is with pride that the Center for Brand Research at the Department of Advertising and IC2 host this “meeting of the minds” that includes major contributors and thought leaders in Advertising and Commerce. Join us in presentations and discussions with,
