Held in conjuction with the AIAA Atmospheric Flight Mechanics Conference & Exhibit and the AIAA Modeling and SImulation Technologies Conference & Exhibit, the AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) Conference is a forum providing the latest developments in GN&C technology, with a unique focus on theory and applications in aeronautics and astronautics. It offers an environment for presentations and discussions about theoretical advancements as well as the implementation issues required for the transition of new technology to operational systems.

This year’s technical program includes many sessions in the areas of control theory analysis and design; spacecraft GN&C and GN&C concepts in air traffic control systems. Other technical areas addressed in this year’s conference include: guidance, navigation and tracking theory and analysis; general aviation and small aircraft transportation GN&C; missile GN&C; multivehicle control; guidance and control of hypersonic and reusable space launch vehicles; multidisciplinary control; multisensor data fusion, tracking and control; autonomous and unmanned systems; and intelligent control in aerospace applications. Invited sessions in this year’s conference include: software enabled control technologies; individual histories within aircraft GN&C; a European program on control law clearance analysis techniques; and advanced methods for clearance and validation of aircraft systems.
