Civil aviation is at a crossroads. The industry experiencing its worst slump in the past 50 years. Demonstrable security enhancements are a pre-condition for the industry to return to its historical pattern of robust and steady growth, and continue to underpin global tourism, trade and investment. Along with heightened security, airlines and airport operators need to address the issues of facilitation and customer service to overcome the perceived ¡§hassle factor¡¨, which is keeping too many passengers away from flying.

AVSEC World 2002 last October in Rome drew an audience of over 870 delegates from every continent and 50 industry exhibitors. This year¡¦s conference will grow on this success and is once again being jointly organised by IATA, ACI and ECAC in co-operation with ICAO.

The industry and governments are working together to implement measures to identify low-risk passengers and concentrate scarce resources on the real threats to aviation.
AVSEC World 2003 brings together airline, airport and government officials who team up to restore confidence in civil aviation and overcome the crisis.

The conference is key to the Industry experts in the following fields:
„h Airline and airport management
„h Security personnel
„h Government agencies
„h International, regional and national organisations
„h Police and law enforcement agencies
„h Customs and immigration authorities
„h Aviation and security consultants
„h Manufacturers/suppliers of aviation security related products and services

AVSEC World 2003 attracts a broadly based audience of senior aviation security professionals. The atmosphere of the event is deliberately interactive and delegates will find as much value from the event due to informal contacts as from the symposium sessions. The accompanying exhibition will feature ¡§state of the art¡¨ aviation security equipment and related services and is, in itself, an educational opportunity not to be missed!
