Passione: four thematic worlds with products for individual lifestyles and situations
International Frankfurt Beauty Week: top association of independent trade fairs for beauty, care, personality and wellness
Character, individuality and authenticity – 'personality' for short – are the central themes of Passione – International Trade Fair for Personal Accessories. Focusing on products revolving around the subject of lifestyle, joie de vivre and zest for life, Messe Frankfurt's latest consumer-goods fair makes its debut from 5 to 8 March 2004.
Rarely is an event as unique as Passione. It is the first trade fair for personal accessories to reflect the current trend towards staging individuality as a subject in its own right. "With their focus on pampering themselves in sensuous terms, consumers are nowadays searching for products that emphasise and enrich their own individual character and style. Particularly popular in this connection are products that make life simpler and easier thanks to their functionality. And this is exactly what dealers will find at Passione. In this case, however, they will discover the complete spectrum of ornamental 'personality' products all together at one time and place", explains Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt.
Also unique is the arrangement of products at Passione. As an association of fairs, it is sub-divided into four thematic worlds, each of which focuses on a variety of life styles and situations. At 'Unique', the trade will hit upon precious luxury goods, high-grade hand-crafted articles and rare collectables for customers who like to be surrounded by extravagant objects. 'Body Culture' is dedicated to fine lingerie, jewellery and decorative fashion accessories. The 'On the Move' thematic world makes people mobile with intelligent accessories for travel, such as bags, luggage and fine leather goods. Also on offer in this section are unusual writing utensils for making personal notes. 'Club Life' is the thematic world for semi luxuries, such as whiskey, pipes and cigars.
Information and inspiration will be generated by numerous special events with suggestions relating to the latest trends and valuable ideas for marketing strategies to boost sales. The highlights at Passione will include shop presentations and a special show called the 'Club Life' lounge.
Passione will be held parallel to three other fairs: Beautyworld, International Trade Fair for Perfumery, Cosmetics, Drug Stores and Hairdressers, COSMETICA, International Trade Fair for Cosmetic Institutes and Beauty Salons, and Lifetime, Trade Fair for Spa and Wellness. In 2004, these four trade fairs for well-being, individuality and beauty are being held for the first time as an association of events called the 'International Frankfurt Beauty Week'. The benefits are unequivocal: here, the trade will find an extensive spectrum of exclusive ideas and products for cross-assortment repositioning at the same time and place.
Beautyworld, International Trade Fair for Perfumery, Cosmetics, Drug Stores and Hairdressers, offers trade visitors a broad range of products revolving around the subject of beauty, from cosmetic and care products for the skin and hair to fragrances and accessories. Furthermore, plans are being drawn up to expand the fields of raw materials for cosmetics, natural cosmetics and packaging. As in the past, the highlight at Beautyworld 2004 will be the 'Forum of Excellence', the exclusive, high-grade section and platform for international brands.
The top newcomer of the 'International Frankfurt Beauty Week' in the field of beauty care is COSMETICA, which entered the Messe Frankfurt fold in April 2003. The focus of the International Trade Fair for Cosmetic Institutes and Beauty Salons is on professional cosmetic treatments and products for beauty, care and health. Here, manufacturers of special care-product series, treatment advisors and studio-furnishing companies make their presentations. The main target groups are not only buyers for beauty-salons but also representatives of beauty farms and certain medical fields. COSMETICA is organised by Messe Frankfurt GmbH in cooperation with KOSMETIK international Messe GmbH, a fair and exhibition company based in Gaggenau, Germany.
The fourth event of the 'International Frankfurt Beauty Week' is Lifetime. The International Trade Fair for Spa and Wellness rounds off the range of products and services of the 'International Frankfurt Beauty Week' with products and concepts for bathing facility construction, fitness, solariums, body therapy, nutrition, wellness travel, furnishing and training. From 2004, Lifetime will be aimed solely at trade visitors, especially representatives of the medical and physiotherapy sectors.
