GENERAL INFORMATION
The Department of Philosophy of the Free University of Amsterdam is pleased to announce the second Free University of Amsterdam Graduate Conference in Philosophy, to be held February 25th till February 27th, 2004. The conference theme will be "Contemporary Theories of Knowledge" and this theme will be broadly construed so as to encompass a wide area of topics in contemporary epistemology.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Possible paper topics include (but are certainly NOT confined to): discussions in recent epistemology: the debate between internalism and externalism, epistemic justification, contextualism, virtue epistemology, naturalized epistemology, foundationalism and coherentism, meta-epistemological issues as the possibility of epistemology, skepticism. We invite graduate students to send papers of high quality on these (or other) topics.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINE
Detailed abstracts (min. 250 words) of papers must be received by November 1st, 2003. Abstracts should be suitable for blind review, so please include a detachable cover page with the paper's title, author's name, mailing address, email, and phone number.

Notification will be made by email at the beginning of December 2003, upon which we will ask writers of the selected abstracts to send-in the final version their papers before February 15th, 2004.
The conference-language will be English. Papers should be about 30 minutes reading-time.

Registration fee:
*55 euro
*45 euro (for paper-presenting students)

Registration fee includes lunches on Thursday and Friday and refreshments during the conference. Payment (preferably in cash) on site.
