Description Thin Films 2004 brings together state-of-the-art developments on all aspects related to the processing, characterization and applications of thin films and surface coatings. The conference will certainly provide an attractive forum for presenting the latest advances in thin films and coatings processing and evaluation by researchers and engineers from industry, research laboratories, and academia.

Nanotechnology is, by nature, multidisciplinary. Nanofabrication and engineering applications of nanoscale structures will be an exciting highlight in Nanotech 2004.

We also welcome original papers in any research areas, from basic science of nanoscale physics and chemistry to applications of nanodevices and quantum computing.

Interest areas include but not limited to:
Thin Films 2004
- Optoelectronic thin films
- Magnetic and electronic thin films
- MEMS thin films
- Smart thin films (PZT, SMA, etc)
- Diamond and nitride thin films
- Carbon-related thin films
- Nanostructured / nanocomposite thin films
- Biological thin films / coatings
- Tribological / corrosion-resistant coatings
