The organising committee extends an invitation to all interested parties to attend and to submit abstracts for presentations at the Conference.
The objective of the 9th ICBPPI is to provide a scientific forum for discussing the latest research progress since the meeting in Helsinki. The successful implementation of pulp and paper biotechnology requires the multi-disciplinary interactions between industrial and academic research. South Africa has recently developed a National Biotechnology Strategy and biotechnology is becoming an integral part of the industrial realm of our country.
At the same time, the South African Universities and other research institutions are committed to the building of expertise and research solutions in biotechnology. We trust that the conference will provide an opportunity for interaction amongst international researchers in a number of disciplines and also boost scientific, social, economic and environmental developments in Southern Africa.
