The Urban Water Institute to sponsor a fall conference. "Can Public Private Partnerships Help Balance Your Budget and Upgrade Your Water Infrastructure?"

The Urban Water Institute will sponsor a fall conference November 20-21, 2003 in association with the Water Partnership Council on Public / Private / Partnerships. This national conference is geared towards City Governments, Public Works Directors, Engineering Consultants, Water Agency Directors and their General Managers to show how private firms can help sustain their water and wastewater systems.

The conference will cover some case studies and examples of what’s going on in California and the nation. Topic’s of who’s opposed and why, Legal issues of private vs. public will be considered. The conference is scheduled for Thursday, Friday, November 20 – 21, 2003 in the Sheraton Universal Hotel, Universal City, California. The Urban Water Institute is a non-profit organization based in Southern California. Its mission is to provide a non-partisan exchange of information of timely and pertinent interest regarding emerging technologies and policy issues to the water resource industry with a particular emphasis on water economics, management and resources.
