| Description |
Who should attend: Everyone interested in making food safer and reducing the human health impacts of foodborne disease. Victims are
especially welcome.
This three-day conference is the first-ever national forum for victims of foodborne disease, individuals, students, teachers,
health care professionals, and everyone concerned about food safety to gain the tools to advocate effectively against foodborne disease. There will be informational sessions, discussion of national advocacy opportunities, opportunities to network with other concerned
individuals and grow fledgling community movements, plus special Friday sessions for children, teens and adults dealing with the
aftermath of serious foodborne disease. Participants will finish the conference with a broad understanding of the political and health
systems that perpetuate foodborne disease and the initiative and tools to create vital change, locally and nationally.
