Course Description
Our fourth conference focuses on developing effective communications for multicultural and multilingual populations across the continuum of the cancer spectrum. The overall goal of this conference is to improve the care across the continuum of cancer control by providing and enhancing research strategies and skills of participants to better introduce culture and literacy components into the development of effective cancer communications and research. Participants will experience: presentations by keynote speakers, general discussions, poster presentations, break-out sessions, breakfast roundtable discussions and pre-conference skill-building workshops.
Who Should Attend?
Healthcare professionals involved in creating effective culturally, linguistically and literacy relevant cancer communications, innovative materials/media, programs and interventions. This includes: health educators, nurses, physicians, researchers, anthropologists, community leaders and outreach workers, patient advocates students/trainees, policy-makers, literacy/health literacy specialists and other health professionals and lay persons involved in cancer care.
