Description
Stroke is a leading global health problem and predicted to grow. It is the second most common cause of death and major disability world-wide. Advances in medical and surgical management are accelerating at a rapid pace. We believe that this forum is relevant for all - including neurologists, geriatricians, internists, physiatrists, radiologists, primary care physicians, surgeons, nurses, therapists and all stroke care givers.
In addition to the comprehensive and innovative scientific sessions, a number of additional activities will take place: The Canadian Stroke Network, an organization that links and supports diverse research expertise with industry, health-care practitioners, public stroke organizations and policy makers will also hold their Annual Meeting within the program.
The National Stroke Association, an organization that provides education, services and community based activities in stroke prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and recovery will hold their Annual Meeting within the program.
