CALL FOR PAPERS - INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE Vilnius, Lithuania
Dear Colleagues,
This year marks two special occasions: the 425th anniversary of the founding of Vilnius University, one of the oldest universities in Europe, and the 200-year anniversary of the establishment of the first Department of Political Economy in Europe and the first department of economic studies in Lithuania.
To commemorate these events, Vilnius University and the Lithuanian Association of Economists are are hosting an international conference entitled:
CATALYSTS AND IMPEDIMENTS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE
to be held October 14-15, 2004
at Vilnius University
Vilnius, Lithuania
Submissions of papers are welcome, which fall under any of the following track headings:
Fiscal and Monetary Policies: Impacts on Growth
Competitiveness: Changes, Trends and Factors of Influence
Social Policy and Economics of the Public Sector
Influence of the Economic Sciences on Economic Development
Prospects for Business
Marketing Theory and Practice
DEADLINES:
Submission of abstracts (maximum 2 pages): May 1, 2004
You will be informed about the approval of your abstract by the Organizational Committee by May 15, 2004.
Full papers are due by September 15, 2004.
Papers selected for inclusion in the conference publications must be resubmitted by November 1, 2004.
