The conference has been successfully held each year since 1978, where the basis of the first effective mesh reduction technique, the Boundary Element Method, was established. Since then, the meeting has attracted papers on all major developments in this challenging field, including the most recent MRM techniques.
Mesh Reduction Methods (MRM), including BEM, continue to be very active areas of research with the techniques being successfully applied to solve increasingly complex problems.
BEM/MRM 27 aims to disseminate the latest research and applications in the field of Mesh Reduction techniques. The range of topics covered are listed further down. Papers of a more theoretical nature, as well as case studies, will also be welcome, including those dealing with computational issues and software development.
