The Tribology Division of ASME International and The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), in association with the International Tribology Council (ITC), invite you to participate in the World Tribology Congress III. This international event will bring together tribologists, scientists, researchers and engineers from around the globe including participants from over 33 cooperating associations.

In 2001 at WTC II in Vienna, ITC President H. Peter Jost urged delegates to look beyond their individual research work and become "tribo-marketers" and "tribo-economists." The technical program is designed to reflect and promote this exchange of the latest technical information between researchers and practitioners in all fields of tribology. In addition, the congress will offer networking sessions, plenary sessions, award ceremonies and special events throughout the length of the congress.

If you're involved in any one of the following industries, this conference is for you:

Aerospace, Automotive, Rail and Marine, Machine Components (Gears/Seals/Bearings Etc.), Power Generation, Industrial and Manufacturing, Mining, Agricultural And Forest Products, Surface Engineering, Condition Monitoring, Lubricants and Additives Testing And Analysis, Materials Processing and Finishing , Biomaterials And Biomedical Applications, Health And Personal Care, Magnetic Data Storage Systems, Micro- and Nanomachines (MEMS)

The conference will address the fundamental aspects of tribology along with the broader tribological issues, which include: Tribology Education, Health and Safety, Tribology In The Design Process, Life Cycle Analysis, Energy Efficiency, Reliability And Productivity and Emissions.
