In 2001 at WTC II in Vienna, ITC President H. Peter Jost urged delegates to look beyond their individual research work and become "tribo-marketers" and "tribo-economists." The technical program is designed to reflect and promote this exchange of the latest technical information between researchers and practitioners in all fields of tribology. In addition, the congress will offer networking sessions, plenary sessions, award ceremonies and special events throughout the length of the congress.
