In this three-day workshop, you learn the steps and skills needed to plan and build your own web site and the basic technologies that make up the world wide web. In addition to the lectures and discussions, you have hands-on training at your own workstation, with opportunities to practice what you have learned. Web professionals are on hand to provide one-on-one instruction and assistance. Instruction provides an introduction to HTML and basic web page design issues. Learners will also be exposed to HTML editors as well as advanced technologies like Active Server Pages and Flash. Participants will be provided time to work on individual projects or engage in more advanced and technical discussions about the web. Previous participants of this course worked on personal projects that they took back to their business or organization and have developed it into their organization's official web page.
