The ODPM has revised the Part E - Resistance to the Passage of Sound regulations, and this will have far-reaching effects on architects, house builders, housing associations, hoteliers and product manufacturers. The new document details changes including reverberation in common parts, sound proofing within a dwelling house and acoustic conditions in schools. However, there is still a significant amount of uncertainty surrounding the new regulations and how to comply.

How do you comply with the regulations? What building products and materials will comply?
How and when do you carry out testing? What happens if a building fails? Do you need to use an acoustician?

Part E: Designing for compliance is an enlightening one-day conference organised by The Architects' Journal. The conference will provide you with all the information you require to comply with the new regulations. With presentations from the ODPM, Napier University, Levitt Bernstein, Walters and Cohen, Spectrum Acoustics and many more, we'll have a plethora of experts to share their thoughts and experiences.

* Learn about Part E reform and what it really means for the industry
* Hear practical examples from acousticians and architects on how they've complied with the new regulations
* Understand testing methods and criteria to comply with Part E
* Assess the need for acoustic consultants
