Description
Many organisations are rushing to meet Sarbanes-Oxley governance requirements and reporting deadlines. Many other organizations are voluntarily initiated efforts to address the "intent" of Sarbanes-Oxley and other governance standards. A growing number of organizations are implementing enterprise risk management processes to enhance their governance activities -and to seize opportunities and minimize surprises. This timely 2day symposium will cover a variety of governance topics including emerging governance requirements and issues, how internal control/risk management can be used to enhance governance activities, and internal audit's role in governance. The session leader is one of The Institute of Internal Auditors primary facilitators for their Sarbanes-Oxley,Internal Control Framework, and Enterprise Risk Management seminars. He is also the co-author of the IIA's research report on The Internal Auditor's Role in Corporate Governance.
