19th International Aluminium Conference
Venue: Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel
Event Date/Time: Sep 19, 2004 | End Date/Time: Sep 21, 2004 |
Description
Within the region, Norway is of course the pre-eminent producer, with output of over 1m tpy. Hydro Aluminium is today the world’s third largest producer of primary aluminium with global turnover last year of 3m tonnes. It has its roots - and a signficant portion of its primary and downstream operations in Norway, as does Elkem Aluminium, which produces some 274,000 tpy. Both companies have in recent years embarked on expansion and modernisation programmes and as part of the conference activities, delegates will have the opportunity to visit Hydro’s newly expanded Sunndal smelter.
