Description

Our better understanding of the biology of dendritic cells, innate and adaptive immune responses, immune memory, or effector and regulatory T lymphocytes, has major implications on current strategies to develop new adjuvants and delivery systems.
Also, the identification of new target antigens for vaccination purposes benefits from the availability of genome sequences from a growing number of important pathogens. The mechanisms involved at the host pathogen interface are being deciphered at a molecular level in great detail.
This meeting will allow as well to review current efforts to develop prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines against a variety of targets, including old or emerging infectious pathogens, cancer, neurodegenerative or metabolic diseases.
