This is the date of the first Business Advice Open Day for West London. Its aim? To give small to medium sized businesses access to advice, training and support from some of the top organisations in the country. Entrance is free.

What’s on offer?

>> Exhibitions - many of the important national business organisations in the country will be there – such as the Inland Revenue, Business Link for London and the Health & Safety Executive. Also local organisations who support business will be there such as The Food Club and ethnic business support organisation ABi Associates.

>> Free training - Also on offer are free training workshops on all aspects of launching a business (finance, business planning, marketing, sales, etc). In addition, there are opportunities to register for a free course with LearnDirect and for free stress management training to be held during October.

>> Seminars – these will cover topics such as how broadband can boost profitability, women in business, environmental policy for small businesses and how retailers can combat crime.

>> Networking – a special Networking Lounge will have regular free training in networking skills, and then offers the right environment to try those skills out.

>> Speakers – these are still being confirmed, but will include prominent local business figures, talking on issues of the day and participating in question and answer sessions.

>> The ‘Business Clinic’ – here visitors can seek impartial free advice from experts on specific business problems.

>> The ‘Business Seeks Business’ board – advertise for free, whether that’s your company’s services or a particular product that you are looking for.
