OBJECTIVES
The objective of the conference is to bring together researchers, academicians, application engineers, users of CAD/CAM, robotics and factory automation technologies and methodologies and policy makers to facilitate close interaction for the exchange of views on the recent developments in CAD/CAM and allied fields. The conference is an attempt to provide the participants a common platform, to share their views through technical sessions, deliberations and discussions pertaining to contemporary technologies and upcoming challenges. In addition, the conference will also have invited lectures/talks by eminent personalities from academia and industry.

VENUE OF THE CONFERENCE
The conference is being organised by Mechanical Engineering Department of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala. TIET is a premier institute for technical education in the Northern Region since 1956 and is known for its excellence in teaching and research. It enjoys the status of a Deemed University and offers academic programmes from undergraduate to doctoral level in all the major fields of Science and Engineering. TIET is a part of 250 acre lush green Thapar Technology Campus (TTC) that also houses the Thapar Centre for Industrial Research and Development (TCIRD) and Thapar Polytechnic (TP).
The princely township of Patiala is refreshingly quiet with opulent lush green cover dotting its entire landscape. Beginning of April is pleasant enough for a comfortable stay.
Patiala is well connected by Road and Rail with New Delhi (5 hours) and surrounding locales like Chandigarh (1 hour) and Shimla (5 hours).

CALL FOR PAPERS
Full length paper (not more than eight A4 size pages) are invited, both by email and post (3 hard copies) addressed to the Co-convener. The papers must include brief Introduction, Back ground, Methodology, Key Results and References, in single space, using Arial font size 10 and should include the title of the paper, author(s) name along with their affiliation. Papers must be laser printed. Submitted papers shall be reviewed by the experts from the relevant fields and the selected authors shall be asked to make changes, if necessary, in their papers and to submit the modified papers for the presentation in due course.
PROCEEDINGS
Papers selected for the presentation in the conference will be published in the proceedings of the conference.

ACCOMMODATION
Limited accommodation will be arranged for the delegates in the P.G. Hostel free of charge. However, accommodation in hotels in the city can also be booked on request, against an advance booking amount sent. Hotels are located within 3 kms. from the venue. They range from two to three stars standards with tariffs ranging from Rs. 500 to 1200 per day.
