The International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology (ICSPP) announces its eighth annual conference entitled “Critiquing Disease Models of Psychosocial Distress and Implementing Psychosocial Theories and Interventions which will take place at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel in Flushing, New York, on October 8, 9, and 10, 2004. Over forty outstanding scholars and practitioners from all over the US, Canada, the UK and Europe will join with invited speakers George Albee, Ph.D., Mary Boyle, Ph.D., Peter Breggin, M.D., Celia Brown, Joseph Glenmullen, M.D., David Healey, M.D., Bertram Karon, Ph.D. Diane Lambert, Ph.D., and Robert Whitaker in discussing a wide variety of issues related to the past, present and future of psychiatry, clinical psychology, and the mental health field.
