MiB International Business Development Forum; China: Challenges and Opportunities (MiB Forum)
|Event Date/Time: Nov 04, 2004||End Date/Time: Nov 04, 2004|
With the largest population in the world, enormous supply of low-wage workers, and ever-growing consumer market, China has been attracting many businesses willing to sell or source their products. Indeed, China continues to grow at a phenomenal pace, attracting large inflows of foreign direct investment. The world's biggest companies now also view China as a critical component of their international strategy and not only as a low-cost sourcing location. The Chinese market may present great new opportunities to local businesses, but pose a number of challenges as well.
The aim of our Forum is to help businesses realize important challenges they might face in the Chinese market, discover new opportunities there and successfully overcome entry barriers. The event will bring together experienced international players, companies eager to learn about the subject, and international students, thus facilitating learning and the exchange of knowledge related to this world's fastest-growing market.
Building on the success of the previous year's conference, we are working to offer a balanced program, which combines lectures given by experienced speakers from the industry and academia, seminars on specific issues, and the provision of information on major Chinese industries and regions. We believe that the Forum will add value to companies who are either currently active in China or who are considering operating there.
We look forward to meeting you in Bergen.
