Description

Workplace mobbing is psychological terror at work where gossip, rumour, innuendo, hearsay and false accusations are deliberate strategies used to force a worker out of their job often resulting in suicide, post traumatic stress disorder and long term psychological damage.
The presenters include Prof Ken Westhues (Canada), Dr Charmaine Hockley and Dr Susan Moriarty (Australia). A well publicised mobbing target, Lt Col Lance Collins will also be speaking about his experience of this phenomenon. There will be a hypothetical panel discussion with Dr Tony Buti (Australia) as facilitator.
Those registered so far are from human resource management staff in Defence, equity practitioners from universities, along with senior academics. Others are teachers, nurses, and some have experienced workplace mobbing.
