The scientific program of the Congress promises to keep a comprehensive inside into a rapidly expanded field of neurosciences, exploring the pathogenetic background of diseases and highlighting the most beneficial therapeutic strategies for the patients.
The Congress will be held in Alexandria, a city with great History and tradition to the knowledge. In addition to the unique cultural tradition, covering more than 2,300 years Alexandria have been the world center of the neurological sciences during the Hellenistic period, since Herophilos, Erasistratos and Lakkon must be considered as the fathers of Neuroanatomy, Neurophysiology, Neuropsychology and Clinical Neurology, extending a long lasting scientific irradiation to the medical world for centuries. In Philosophy, Alexandria flourished during the Hellenistic period under the leading authorities of Plotinos and Philon, harmoniously and successfully amalgamating later on the idealism of Neo-Platonism and the concrete Stoic philosophy with the elegant Jewish and Arabic philosophical traditions
A special effort is been produced by the Organizing Committee in order to promote new scientists to participate with communications on the main topics of the congress as well as with free communications.
