Description

The Microelectronics Research Center (MiRC) at Georgia Tech invites students, faculty, researchers and anyone interested in nano- science and technology research to the “Nanosafe Workshop.” Go beyond the hype of “grey-goo” to learn about:

- safety hazards and risks in your lab
- social and environmental safety issues in application of nanotechnologies
- public concerns and how they may affect policy and funding

“Nanosafe” will be held on Thursday, December 2, in the MiRC, from 8 am to 4 pm. For more information, please check out the workshop website at

http://snf.stanford.edu/Links/Nanosafety.html

“Nanosafe” is sponsored and organized by the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN), of which the MiRC is a founding member. The NNIN is a consortium of 13 university facilities which is supported by the National Science Foundation and provides researchers everywhere with tools and instrumentation for nano-science and technology.
