The EHR Summit IV is a seminar-style, in-depth deliberation of various aspects of electronic health records. Invited speakers offer presentations between 30-45 minutes aimed at an audience of senior executives, top IT professionals from both the provider and vendor environments, healthcare leaders, management consultants, experts in clinical implementations, clinicians with strong interest in IT, standards experts, senior members of government organizations, and leading members of not-for-profit organizations.

Specific healthcare domains will be explored in terms of these special healthcare areas currently using EHRs. Domains include: the acute care; ambulatory care for small, medium, and large practices; long-term care; home health; and the personal health record domain. In addition, HL7 Standards will be discussed, as well as ambulatory care considerations, acute inpatient care considerations and long-term care utilization of EHRs.

The EHR Summit IV has a strong bias towards practical, actionable content and is
deliberately kept under 120 people, hence offering attendees a chance for meaningful, informal discussions with peers and industry experts. Additionally, review of previous Summits is offered on the first morning of this year’s Summit.
