Xth Spring Meeting of Young Economists (SMYE), the Graduate Institute of International Studies (HEI), Geneva, Switzerland, April 22-24, 2005

The Spring Meeting of Young Economists is an annual conference aimed at Ph.D. students, post-doctoral students and young lecturers across all economics disciplines and features a rich 3-day program for them to get together, present their scientific research outputs, and share their ideas at the beginning of their academic careers.

The conference covers a variety of areas in economics (micro, macro, trade, game theory, econometrics, empirical economics, experimental economics, political economy, labour economics, financial economics, economic history, etc.). It also features keynote speeches by renowned economists.

Each year, an international programme committee in a double blind review process selects approximately 200 papers for presentation. We would like to invite you to submit a 3-page abstract of your own original research for the selection committee review. Once the paper is approved, you will have the opportunity to present it in one of the parallel sessions of the conference grouped by research theme.

The conference, however, can only be a success when active and stimulating discussion is ensured on behalf of the participants. This process is formalized by the requirement that in addition to presenting his/her own paper each participant is a formal discussant of a paper in his/her session.
