Conference Aims
Patient safety should be foremost in the minds of everyone involved in patient care. Despite its importance preventable patient harm is very common but poorly understood. The only way to improve the situation is to understand why mistakes happen, design better systems and teach the basics of safer care. The goal must be to promote a culture of safety in health care.
This conference brings together experts in patient safety and those who wish to learn.
It is divided into four main areas each occupying half a day. These are:-

The aim of this conference is to provide a forum to:
- promote the use of appropriate adult learning skills and tools;
- raise the awareness of nationwide patient safety initiatives;
- find solutions to the key patient safety problems facing frontline health care professionals;
- provide a platform through which success stories can be shared with others
Target Audience
Open to all, the conference will appeal to doctors, nurses, pharmacists, allied health care professionals, patient safety officers, risk managers, educators, patients and their representatives, regulators, medical device manufacturers and health care leaders.
