Like the rest of your colleagues at all levels of the public sector, your priority is to move beyond a zero tolerance for waste, fraud and abuse and help create a government that is better equipped to efficiently, economically and effectively delivery its services to Canadians. Establishing an evaluation framework to determine how efficient and effective program and departmental outputs are, is an integral part of the process of accurately assessing service success or the need for change. With the movement towards increased horizontal collaboration, the need to define the right performance indicators and implement the right measures within your departments is critical to the success of those initiatives.
