An emerging biofuels industry is on the horizon for many countries in Central America. Sugar cane, the region’s primary feedstock, holds a great promise for expanding a regional biofuels program. In addition, technologies previously only used by distilleries now provide the foundation for biofuels production. This conference, which will provide education and networking opportunities, will establish the region as the new energy player in the Americas. Conference topics include; Caribbean Basin Initiative (CBI) Update, Sugar to Ethanol Technology, Trading Ethanol, Government Involvement, Brazil Ethanol Production, The Global Phase Out of MTBE, Feedstocks Used in Ethanol Production, Feedstocks Used in Biodiesel Production, Flex Fuel Vehicles, Kyoto Protocol, Ethanol Production in Central & South America.
