This fellowship covers the most commonly performed studies in nuclear cardiology; gated myocardial perfusion imaging at rest, with exercise, with pharmacologic stress, with thallium 201 and with Tc-99m-based perfusion agent MIBI; acute myocardial infarction imaging with Tc-99m pyrophosphate; first pas and EGC synchronized equlibrium (multiple frame) cardiac blood pool imaging with Tc-99m-in-vitro labelled red blood cells for evaluation of ventricular size and funtion; and first pass angiocardiographic studies with Tc-99m pertechnetate for quantification of left to right shunting and left ventricular ejection fraction.
