This spring, the Mojave National Preserve's Artist-in-the-Park, Donald Davidson, will teach botanical illustration of native desert flora at the scenic Desert Studies Center in Zzyzx. Mr. Davidson has been presenting on-the-ground interdisciplinary programs for the National Park Service since 1999 that demonstrate the important role that the arts can make to the mission of native plant conservation. These weekend-long extension courses are presented by California State University, San Bernardino and the University of California, Riverside, and can be taken for credit or non-credit.
