MODSIM05 is the 16th in a series of congresses organised by the Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand, and held every two years. The Society has more than 500 members from 50 countries, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, The Netherlands, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Members come from a wide range of professional disciplines including hydrology, agricultural science, economics, engineering, atmospheric science and ecology. The congress provides a forum for the presentation and exploration of a broad range of modelling and simulation science, and papers are invited in all areas of modelling and simulation.
