The 2005 SACOMM Conference will, once again, explore the different rooms of SACOMM's multi-disciplinary house. Since its inception, the annual conference has brought together academics from diverse disciplines, such as cultural and media studies, business communication, journalism, philosophy, hermeneutics, languages, literature and education, together under one roof.
The 2005 conference will focus on exploring new, and sometimes not so new, ways in which communication scholars have conducted research and made contributions within various disciplines and also how they have approached the differences between qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
This conference will be an attempt to add more dimensions and depth to the inter-paradigmatic conversation conducted at the 2004 conference.
During the three-day course of this conference, we will not only try to stimulate intellectual conversation but, we will also offer two evenings of entertainment, which are included in the conference cost.
