Description

Mackie & Kamrath were influential in initiating modern architectural forms and styles in the southern region of the country and in furthering Houston as a noteble locale of architectural exploration and accomplishment in the mid-20th century. Their nationally-recognized work is a cherished and powerful legacy in Houston's culture and a testament to the firm's commitment to a cause (Miller). The tour will highlight five homes, two churches, one small office building, and one large office building representative of the architects' work and contribution.

The event benefits AGD Foundation-Leadership Institute, American Heritage Education Foundation (Kamrath Foundation), and the Robin Rush Room at Barbara Bush Library.
