August 9 th to August 13 th, Anno Domini 2005
The 19th NASTEC (Nordic Atomic Spectroscopy and Trace Element Conference) will be held in Reykjavík, August 9th to August 13th, 2005
The scope of the NASTEC is trace element analysis, using atomic spectroscopy or other measurement techniques.
NASTEC is organized on a rotating schedule within the Nordic countries but anyone interested, from near or far, is most welcome to participate.
A healthy analytical community depends on sound and steady recruitment of young analysts. It is of a great importance that these are integrated as early as possible in our information and social network. We, the organizers of the 19th NASTEC, do therefore especially welcome participation from students of analytical chemistry and other young analysts.
The program will include keynote lectures, by invited speakers, as well as shorter oral presentations and poster presentations by the participants. We invite people to present their work on one or more of the following topics:
• Sample preparation
• Sample introduction
• Novel measurement techniques
• Chemometrics related to trace element analysis
• Analytical quality related to trace element analysis
Papers on other aspects of trace element analysis and atomic spectroscopy are also welcomed.
The official language of the conference will be English.
CONFERENCE VENUE AND ACCOMMODATION
The conference will take place at the Grand Hótel Reykjavík, where (4 star) accommodation will be available. More information will be given in the second circular, including information on different categories of alternative accommodation.
