7th International Poster Session Conference
AQUATIC ECOSYSTEMS, ORGANISMS, INNOVATIONS-7

TOPICS: All aspects of aquatic ecology, aquatic organisms (microorganisms, plants, animals: biology, morphology, physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, systematics of aquatic organisms), aquatic pollution, bioremediation, phytoremediation, limnology, biological oceanography: research, education, ecoethics, environmental engineering, and technology. This is the 7th of the series of 'International Poster Session Conferences' started in 1999. To date, scientists from the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Israel, Spain, China, India, New Zealand, Poland, Ukraine, and other countries have participated.

ORGANISERS: Ad hoc, international organizing and advisory committees composed of scientists from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, UK, Ukraine, USA, and other countries. 26 countries are represented. The Program Committee includes internationally well-known scientists of several countries of Europe and America. The committee includes Professors Henri Dumont, David Hamilton, Koen Martens (Editor-in-Chief, Hydrobiologia), C. E. W. Steinberg, Bernhard Wehrli, and others (the U.S.A., Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, and other countries are represented). The committees have links with several professional organizations and universities, including Hydrobiological Society, Moscow State University, Eco-Ethics International Union, and others. Publications: Abstracts of the conferences are published as volumes in the series 'Ecological Studies, Hazards, Solutions'. All abstracts received before the deadline (for both non-attendees and attendees) will be published.

DEADLINES: June 21st for abstracts (by email), September 15th for posters, and June 21st for registration fees (we accept the materials and fees after the deadline, but in this case the registration fee increases by $15 for all categories of participants).

TECHNICAL DETAILS. No personal attendance is needed. Posters sent by mail will be displayed/exhibited by organizers on behalf of the authors. Non-attendees can receive some feedback from participants by email. We also invite nominations for the honorary title of Aquatic Ecologist of Year. The best posters presented by students (including those sent by mail) will receive honorary diplomas.

Promoting books. We also display books during the conference, and organize their ranking on the basis of the opinions of professionals and experts. The books that get the highest ranking will be awarded diplomas, will be mentioned at the closing ceremony, and will be mentioned in the press release that we give to many journals and mass media. All books received will be mentioned in the volume of 'Ecological Studies, Hazards, Solutions', some of them with comments highlighting their value.

Please send books to be displayed to: Dr. S. A. Ostroumov, Department of Hydrobiology, Faculty of Biology, Moscow State University, Moscow 119992, Russia. For technical reasons the books will not be returned. The conference covers not only science but also educational and eco-ethical issues as well as technological innovations. Textbooks that deal with eco-ethics or applied and technological issues are within the scope of the conference and the exhibition.

A number of awards and honorary titles will be announced at the conference. Please nominate candidates for the honorary title ‘Aquatic Ecologist of the Year’.

Companies and businesses (including publishers, chemical and engineering companies, and all other relevant companies) are welcome to advertise their products and services. You can send your poster or printed materials by mail. Unless special decision is made, it costs $ 99 (plus some additional cost if requested by customs service).

Companies and business are welcome to join the Business Committee associated with the conference or the group of sponsors for the conference.
