Meet your Instructors

Douglas Weidner, now Chairman of the International Knowledge Management Institute, with KM Institutes™ in Asia and Europe, will be your personal instructor for this session. Mr. Weidner created and trademarked the original "CKM™" program in 1999 and the KM Body of Knowledge (KMBOK™). The KMBOK includes the full KM Methodology you will learn and is the rich source for continuous curriculum content updates.

Weidner was Chief Knowledge Engineer for Northrop Grumman (one of the largest U.S. firms with the largest professional services staff in the DC area), 1994-2001. He has consulted in KM to: the World Bank (1996), the United Nations (2000), NASA (2000-01), The World Health Organization (2003-04), and commercial firms such as GM, Lucent, AT&T, etc. 2005 to date, Weidner and the KM Institute have trained clients in NIH, SHRDC Malaysia, Kuwait Petro Co. World Bank (again), US Office of the Secretary of Defense, and more. Douglas continues to deliver the CKM™ around the world to hundreds of satisfied students and has trained other CKM™ trainers in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Graduates automatically become members of the CKM Alumni Association™.

“Two heads are better than one.” In fact, some of the best KM minds from around the world are far better than one, and that is why we have formed a global faculty of KM subject-matter experts; top-tiered trainers representing several different countries, who share a similar passion for KM. KMI is paving the way for KM education in other nations, not just the U.S.  With training classes planned in 6 countries over the next 60 days alone, we stand by both our past success and continued efforts to reach out to KM professionals near and abroad, investing in their success.

CKM™ - Consumer Tips

Consumers wish to be as informed as possible before spending $$ thousands on training, and tend to want to "go to the source" Which we will continue to offer in the form of access to our former students. So take advantage of customer references, from us or any training org. The legitimate ones should readily provide them.

Bottom line: Training organizations, companies, and non-profits/societies should all be held to the same level of scrutiny. Be discerning; with just a little bit of care and careful investigation, you should find yourself pointed in the right direction. Download the CKM Curriculum, and discover it for yourself. We are here to answer any questions you may have.

If you are interested in our training programs and wish to familiarize yourself with the experiences our students have had, please do not hesitate to ask. As a smart consumer, you should expect nothing less from your future KM trainer.

Warm Regards,
The KM Institute™
