19th International Symposium on Gas Kinetics
Orléans, France July 22-27, 2006
The scientific programme will consist in oral and poster presentations. Scientists, engineers, and others interested in kinetics are invited to attend and participate in this biennial event. Scientists are encouraged to submit a one page (A4) abstract via the symposium web page using the provided template:http://www.gk2006.org

Acceptance will be confirmed by April 15th.
The scientific programme will include sessions on the following topics: Astrochemistry, Atmospheric Chemistry, Combustion and Plasmas, Elementary Processes and Energy Transfer, Reaction Dynamics
In addition there will be two poster sessions covering the full range of studies in gas kinetics and allied fields.

Manufacturers of scientific instruments used in laboratory, industry and field measurements, scientific software editors, and editors of scientific books and journals are invited to exhibit and demonstrate their products in a large hall located close to the main lecture room.

Dates and Location:
The meeting will be held on July 22-27, 2006 at the University of Orléans, France. Orléans is situated in central France, along the banks of the Loire River. Only 130 kilometres south of Paris, Orléans is easily accessed by trains from Paris Austerlitz Station (about 60 minutes). The climate is friendly in July: the average daytime temperature is 2427°C, but can reach into the 30s°C. Visitors should be prepared for the possibility of light showers.
The sessions will start on July 23rd and will end on July 27th early afternoon.
Participants will be accommodated at the student residences on the university campus and hotels close to tramway stations. The meeting buildings are also close to tramway stations.
