Event Date/Time: Oct 21, 2005
The London Underground is getting hotter. More power requirements both for station systems and train comfort mean more megawatts being pumped into the Tube. The result is a slow but steady rise in underground temperatures. What can be done to combat this and what role can the various engineering disciplines play in both minimising the effects and cooling things down. The Railway Engineers Forum in co-operation with London Underground is organising this half day seminar which will take place in the morning of Friday, 21st October at the IEE in London. This will discuss the issues and hopefully come up with ideas as to how the problem might be resolved.
