With new advances in tissue engineering and the need for upscaling of bioartificial devices, research has come to new frontiers. Angiogenesis plays a prominent role in accomplishing this feat. Furthermore, with the vision approaching of tissue engineering constructs getting into everyday clinical practice , some consideration on non invasive monitoring needs to be made. The purpose of this symposium is to address new advances in imaging and possible applications in research of tissue engineering with a special focus on angiogenesis.
