• To give students a chance to present their work amongst fellow students, faculty members and personnel from industries.
• To give present and prospective students an exposure to ongoing research in the diverse areas of mechanical engineering.
• To provide an opportunity to the students/research community in the areas of mechanical engineering on a common platform for interaction and dissemination for knowledge and current research findings.
The Technical Symposium consists of Technical Paper Presentation/Technical Quiz program/CAD Modeling by the students. The participants can presents papers on any one of the following major topics
The Technical Symposium will be conducted in the fully air conditioned auditorium of Arunai Engineering College Campus.
The event is open to all regular UG/PG Students and Research Scholars.
Guidelines to Participants:
• Maximum two authors per paper.
• One hard copy and soft copy of the paper should be submitted in MS Word with 12 font, 1.5 spacing in Times New Roman format
• Free boarding and lodging will be provided for authors only

About Mechanical Department
Mechanical Engineering plays a vital role in manufacturing, power generation and technological advancement. It is arguably the broadest of the main engineering discipline and the department equips the students with the analytical skill in a wide range of engineering subjects, balanced with practical experience and essential soft skills. The department has made substantial investment in updating infrastructure/labs and has enviable computing facilities.
Department has experienced and dynamic faculty members with specialization in new engineering materials, vibrations, renewable energy technology, energy audit, finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, thermal engineering, advanced manufacturing and CAD/CAM. The department also extends certificate courses, consultancy, training and testing services to local industries and institutions. The research and development works are carried out in the areas of composite materials, finite element analysis, CAPP, solar energy, mechanical vibrations and IC engines.
