The AWWA Water Utility Managemetn Institute has evolved over the past 20 years to develop emerging leaders within the industry. An emerging leader is defined as an employee of a water utility, or private sector supplier to a water utility industry who will be moving into a supervisory position or has been promoted in the past three years. The program focuses on a holistic approach to building leaders through instruction, skill application, and building industry relations with the participants in the program. Team assignments are made early in the week with final presentations being delivered during the latter part of the week. The faculty in this program are industry leaders as well as business faculty specializing in management and leadership. The cost of this program is $879 and this covers program fees, faculty, program materials, breaks, lunch on M-Th. and a reception on Sunday evening. This program will be offered at The Inn at Virginia Tech. For more information contact: Sharon G. Scott, associate director at 540.231.5567 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
