The Institute for Leadership in Changing Times (ILCT) was developed to create a focused leadership education program for individuals occupying a first ling or mid management level position. Applicants to the ILCT program should have already completed an entry level supervisory training program. This unique program is an educational program with three distinct components. The first component is a five day intensive, residential and classroom learning experience, which is complemented by pre-program assignments. The second component of the program is the application of learning back in the workplace, this includes assignments to be completed on the job. The final component is a three day residential session in the fall to assess lasting impacts on behavior as well as evaluating "lessons learned". For this program, each participants must be willing to commit to the entire educational process as we will take the learning experiences from each participant to improve the curriculum for each successive session. Applicants must want to have a positive impact on their profession by making a difference and recognizing the need for change. Topics will include: leadership and followership, interpersonal effectiveness, leadership and ethics, emotional intelligence, team building and working through others, and career development.
